I had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time with Ethan and Esther this evening taking some lovely maternity shots again at the Focus on Studio. It was a joy to capture some quiet beautiful moments less than a month out from their due date. I can't wait to process the rest of the photos!

Laina was a joy to work with as we worked on material for her website. All the setups were simple but fun and lots of laughs were shared during the shoot.

Before I talk about the pictures below I wanted to take a second to mention a neat new local coffee shop here in Carmel. Indie Coffee Roasters opened this past week and I had the opportunity to stop by and try their selection! ICR imports and roasts their own selection, offering a relaxing seating area where you can enjoy their roasts in whatever brewing method you prefer. Definitely worth a look!
What a week it has been. I've been fortunate enough to take the week off to help my wife and G adjust to life with our second newborn. I've been squeezing editing in to the few free moments we have after G is asleep and my wife is busy with K. I've been very happy with the photographs, and I'll be the first to admit that several made me tear just through the editing process. Moments like these are once in a lifetime and I consider myself very fortunate to be able to capture them in the way that I did.
January kept me engaged some corporate headshot work, as the Indiana weather certainly doesn't give much opportunity to work outdoors. Several great sessions are coming up in the next few weeks! I have an exciting opportunity to work with a client at the Focus On Studio in Carmel which is a terrific studio where you can rent the space by the hour. One of my goals this year is to learn more about studio photography and increase my skills in this area, and this certainly gives me the opportunity to do that.

There were a lot of warm smiles tonight despite the frigid temps and winds! The Haas family was in great spirits and we were able to capture some wonderful moments at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel.
